The City of Johnson City will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the City Hall of the City of Johnson City located at 303 E Pecan Drive, Johnson City, Texas 78636. The purpose of this meeting is to allow citizens an opportunity to discuss the citizen participation plan, development of local housing and community development needs, the amount of TXCDBG FAST funding available, all eligible TXCDBG and TXCDBG FAST activities, and the use of past TXCDBG funds.

The City encourages citizens to participate in the development of this TXCDBG FAST application and to make their views known at this Public Hearing. Citizens unable to attend this meeting may submit their written comments to:

The Johnson City Volunteer Fire Department in cooperation with the City of Johnson City will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 6:00 PM at the Johnson City Volunteer Fire Station (JCVFD) located at 300 Live Oak Drive, Johnson City, Texas 78636. The hearing is regarding the submission of an application to the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) for a 2022 Texas Community Development Program Grant Program Fund (TxCDBG FAST) grant.

The purpose of this meeting is to allow citizens an opportunity to discuss the citizen participation plan, development of local housing and community development needs, the amount of TXCDBG FAST funding available, all eligible TXCDBG and TXCDBG FAST activities, and the use of past TXCDBG funds.

ORDINANCE NO. 22-0601

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JOHNSON CITY, TEXAS SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE ON UPDATES TO THE LAND USE ASSUMPTIONS AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PLAN AND THE IMPOSITION OF AN IMPACT FEE PER SERVICE UNIT ON JULY 26, 2022; AND ADOPTING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, Texas Local Government Code Chapter 395 Financing Capital Improvements Required by New Development in Municipalities, Counties and Certain other Local Governments requires the City of Johnson City to adopt an order establishing a public hearing date to consider updates to the land use assumptions and capital improvements plan and the imposition of an impact fee per service unit for the City.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JOHNSON CITY, TEXAS THAT:

Section One. Public Hearing. A Public Hearing on updates to the land use assumptions and capital improvements plan and the imposition of an impact fee per service unit shall be held on July 26, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. C.S.T. at City Hall, 303 E. Pecan Drive, Johnson City, Texas 78636. Any member of the public shall have the right to appear at the Hearing and present evidence for or against the updates.

Section Two. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be effective immediately following adoption by the City Council.
