Chief Ross Allen started his career in Law Enforcement in June of 2001 with the Williamson County Sherrif’s Office. During his eight years with Williamson County, Officer Allen worked as a Corrections Officer, Patrol Deputy, Traffic Deputy and a School Resource Officer. In November of 2009 Officer Allen was hired as a Patrol Officer for the City of Johnson City Police Department. After a few years Officer Allen was promoted to Lieutenant, later became Captain. In March of 2016, Officer Allen left Johnson City to begin work as a Department of Defense Police Officer in Northern California. He spent two years as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Corporal and Patrol Sargent. With Texas always on his mind the opportunity to apply for the Chief of Police position became available. In June of 2018 he was selected to lead the Johnson City Police Department as their Chief of Police.
