Programs

DART(Drug, Alcohol Resistance Training):
In partnership with JCISD, the Johnson City PD gives seminars for students regarding street drugs and how to recognize drug use by their friends. For parents, they offer a seminar on how to recognize drug use in their children. They also give parents free drug test kits. These kits are for the parents information only. If a child tests positive for drug use, parents do not need to report the results to the police.

Neighborhood Watch Program:
Several neighborhoods in Johnson City have instituted a Neighborhood Watch Program. For more information on the neighborhoods involved or if you would like to institute a Neighborhood Watch in your neighborhood, please email the police department or call (830) 868-0995.

National Night Out:
JCPD participates in the National Night Out program every October. Every neighborhood is encouraged to participate with the JCPD. For more information on this program, go to their website: http://www.natw.org/
